Embodying the Love of God in Our World
We want to be intentionally present to the world around us. Paying attention to the ways that God is at work in the world, and discerning how we can join in what God is up to.
We want to engage with our world, embodying the love of God in the places where we live, work, and play. We also want to intentionally engage with those who are on the margins of society, taking seriously the call of Jesus to be among those who are hurting in our world.

The Bridge brings the love of Jesus to people experiencing addiction, homelessness, and poverty in Saskatoon's inner city, working alongside the church and community to offer compassion and practical care.

We volunteer at monthly meal prep nights, helping prepare and serve food to those who come through The Bridge's doors. Meal prep nights happen monthly on Friday evnings.

Lakeview volunteers at Kinship Celebration events throughout the year, helping with food prep, childcare, and connecting with kinship parents.

The Mustard Seed provides permanent supportive housing in Saskatoon, pairing stable, affordable homes with wrap-around supports to help people experiencing poverty and homelessness rebuild their lives.

Lakeview hosts monthly Games Nights at The Mustard Seed, inviting residents to join us for bingo and board games. These events happen monthly on Monday evenings.

Listening & Learning
We believe that in order to thoughtfully respond to the challenges of our world we must become active learners.
We prioritize placing ourselves in spaces where we can listen to the voices of those who are vulnerable and marginalized. In humility, we open our eyes and hearts to be challenged as we seek to learn from others.

As we engage the world around us we desire to come alongside others in mutuality with the hope that all would come away feeling seen, valued, and empowered.
We seek to intentionally draw near to those who are vulnerable and marginalized, trusting that God present and the Spirit will meet us and guide us in those holy encounters.

Collaborating for Good
We accept God’s invitation to participate in the healing of our world, trusting that God is present and already at work ahead of us. We desire to respond to realities of injustice, poverty, and abuse of power by working together with those around us.
We do not seek to work alone, we wish to collaborate with ministry partners and folks from all walks of life in our community as we work towards restoration.

Areas of Focus
In response to challenges we observe in our community, we have chosen to direct our energy to five areas of focus.
Truth & Reconciliation
ACKNOWLEDGING THE PAST, BUILDING A NEW FUTURE.
We acknowledge that the church has not always been a peaceful presence as we have engaged with the world. This is particularly true of the relationship of the church and Indigenous people of Canada.
As we learn from the past and envision a new future we are committed to work towards Truth & Reconciliation.
Migration & Resettlement
NOBODY SHOULD HAVE TO FIND THEIR WAY ALONE
We recognize that resettling in a new country and city is often a challenging journey. Creating a new home in an unfamiliar land can be isolating and lonely.
In response to God’s call to hospitality and inclusion we seek to respond to the needs of those new to this country in an effort to walk alongside those who are creating a new life and home in Saskatoon.
EVERY CHILD DESERVES A SAFE PLACE TO CALL HOME
Kinship & Foster Families
Every year hundreds of children are being removed from their homes. The reasons are vast and complex and require response at a multitude of levels.
Support is needed for care givers as they strive to provide a safe place for children to call home.
Financial Vulnerability
MEETING BASIC NEEDS WITH DIGNITY AND COMPASSION
We recognize that many in our community face complex challenges due to financial instability.
These struggles often manifest as difficulties meeting basic needs, such as securing adequate food and stable housing.
Restorative Justice
THE CHURCH HAS A ROLE TO PLAY IN HEALING
Amidst the pain and difficulties of the criminal justice system, there is an opportunity for the church to enter in with a loving presence.
We seek to come alongside trusted organizations who are working holistically towards restoration and healing.
