The postures are how we, as a community, position ourselves to live our mission: joining God in the renewal of all things. But we also need “exercises” to help keep us aligned. That’s where the practices come in. The practices are things we do that align and realign us with God’s gracious work of transformation in our lives and in the world, that help us keep our posture.
You’ll find a list of practices under each posture that invite you to explore what it means to embody that posture. The lists are not comprehensive, but we have sought to capture with our selections what it means to be people who are open to God and to the world: backward, forward, inward and outward.
