We are part of a community of faith and this community exists not only in the present tense. We stand on the shoulders of those who have come before us, and who have passed faith on to us. We also stand among other Christians who hold different beliefs and practices than we do. Understanding our ecosystem and history helps us hold our faith with an open posture, and live in humility with one another.
