How many of you were here on Easter Sunday? Amazing Day to be together and to center our hearts and minds on Jesus . . . and the power He pours into our lives . . .
These are the prayer cards you filled out on Easter Sunday morning . . . and each card here represents an individual spiritual choice . . . to keep in step with Christ . . . and to continue walking on your spiritual journey . . . (point your arrow in Gods’ direction). There are some amazing stories on these cards
and . . . I need to tell you that it has been a privilege and an honor to pray for each of you over the past 2 weeks . . . (it took a little longer than you might think) I gotta tell you that it was a little overwhelming for me to see what God is doing in so many of your lives . . . and also what heartache many of you are going through . . . (He is near).
The one think that stuck out to me more than any other in these 700 or so cards is this . . . DESIRE . . . every one of you . . . whether you’re a long term follower of Christ or . . . if you’re just now exploring what following Jesus means . . . Every one of you expressed desire spiritually . . . and not just a little bit of desire . . . but a heart-pounding desire to see more of God and to have more of His power flow into your souls . . . and I just want to tell you that I believe all great things in life start with desire . . . and that God rewards those whose desire is to follow Him . . .
And this may sound like a funny thing to say . . . but I’m proud of you . . . I’m proud of you for having that kinda raw desire and passion . . . and people . . . we are incredibly blessed to be part of a community that wants so badly to chase after God . . .
And that desire and these cards . . . kinda messed with me over these last days . . . Folks I gotta tell you it is an awesome privilege and a humbling responsibility to lead you . . . and I love you all very much . . .
This week our goal is to help move your spiritual desire ® to action in your life . . . because desire on it’s own is not enough. Action is also required to align our lives with where Jesus wants us to be . . . and my role today is very simple it is to give you a small push towards action . . . because just a little bit of action – just a small step of obedience in the right direction can radically change your life and your future spiritually . . .
So . . . work with me.
