At Lakeview's Children's Ministry, Power Hour, it is our desire to make your child's time at church an experience.
Our mission is to present and model Biblical truths as a spiritual foundation so that children will be led, in God's timing, into a relationship with Jesus Christ, and nurtured toward spiritual maturity.
Because God loves each and every child, each one is important to our Power Hour staff. We've designed the entire ministry to be child-centered, with age-specific focus for every age level.
Power Hour Team:
Children’s Ministry Pastor/Director: Nancy Luross
Nursery: Birth-20 months
Loving, caring staff will nurture your child in a safe, fun and comfortable environment. You are able to freely relax and worship knowing your child is well cared for. Pagers are provided.
Toddler: 20-36 months
Your child will have fun as they play and interact with other children under the care of loving staff. They will enjoy hearing a Bible story from our special guest readers, such as a Story Grandma, Story Grandpa, or perhaps even a story-reading puppet! Pagers are provided. Preschool: Ages 3 & 4
Your child will begin learning Bible stories that are both developmentally and spiritually appropriate, as well as fun. The weekend program includes play time, gym time, singing and crafts that all work together to reinforce the key concept being taught. They will also learn how to apply the lesson to their own little lives.Kindergarten-Grade 5
Our goal is to teach and model how to become maturing Christ-followers, through creative programming and caring small groups.The creative programming is presented using puppetry, dramas, songs, and multimedia lessons that teach Bible stories and values. As an extension of this program, we also provide an opportunity for the older children to be directly involved in learning and performing the puppet skits and dramas through a bi-weekly training program.
Our small group time provides an opportunity for mature Christ-followers to help children apply the lessons through interactive discussion, activity, and time of prayer.
