Discovering A Far-fetched God in Far-fetched Places
The idea of God becoming man is absurd.
God is far-fetched, deciding to restore and redeem the world by being barn born then maimed and murdered. By example He invites us into his far-fetched ways: forgiving and loving, humility and hospitality, grace and peace. He hints that we will also find Him again in far-fetched places: through illness, struggle, disappointment and suffering.
This December we lead up to Christmas Eve trusting that Christ is again with us in ways and places that are divinely far-fetched.
