SUPPORT AND RECOVERY GROUPS
COMMUNITY SUPPORT GROUPS
You don't have to go through life alone! Our support groups allow people in similar life circumstances to come together for Christ-centred support. Everyone is welcome, not just those who attend Lakeview Church.
Chronic Pain/Non-clinical Depression is a place where participants support one another through life experiences, story-telling, scriptural encouragement and prayer as they walk through the daily suffering of chronic pain and/or depression. This on-going group meets the first and third Wednesday of each month at 10:30 am at the church. New members are welcome to join at any time. For more info contact facilitators Rose and Ernest Friesen at 933-1806 or roseernest@sasktel.net.
Parent Talk is a support group for parents who want to talk about the impact of drugs and alcohol involving their children. This group meets Thursday evenings from 7-9 pm here at the church, beginning Sept. 25. For more information, contact Val at 934-3398.
DivorceCare is a weekly seminar and support group for people who are separated or divorced. The group begins on Sun. Sept. 21 at 1 pm in the Youth Room and runs every Sunday afternoon until Dec. 21. Please sign up at the Information Centre or email laurie@lakeviewchurch.com.
Pain from the Past is a 10-week program for adults who have grown up in dysfunctional families. This group will focus on breaking the dysfunctional cycle and will aid participants in altering the broken parts of their lives. Facilitator Marcy Sander is a trained therapist. The next group begins in March, 2009. Pre-registration is required since enrollment is limited to 12 participants.
