Soul Sisters
Who are Soul Sisters?
At its core, Soul Sisters is all women coming together to provide opportunities for women from all walks of life to connect, grow and learn, while becoming increasingly aware of themselves, others, and God.If you are a woman reading this – YOU are a Soul Sister. If you are a man reading this then pretty much all the women you know are Soul Sisters. Much like the church is not the building in which we meet but all of us, the people, Soul Sisters isn’t simply a ministry but we, the women who follow Christ.
Our foundational core of Connection, Learning, and Growth is based on the following values (in no particular order):
- God awareness
- Friendship
- Self awareness Authenticity
- Engaging in service
- Acceptance
- Caring for others
The following three major areas will be the functional focus of our Foundational Core and Values:
- Social – providing the opportunity for connection
- Education - fostering knowledge and learning
- Outreach – engaging in service within Lakeview, within Saskatoon, within the world
The strategic model detailed above is the good soil in which the ministry itself will be planted. It is up to all of us as Soul Sisters to tend this garden and make it blossom. In the New Year we will be in the planning process for the next program year that starts in September 2010.
