Tell us about your family?
I am married to Jerry, now retired, so now his job is to look after me fulltime! Tamara, our daughter, is on her way to live in Japan. Matt, our son, and his wife Jesika, are both studying at the University of Calgary and have provided us with two Alaskan Husky “grandpuppies” named Niko and Griffin.

If you were a superhero, what would your name be?
“Supergloria”…..

On a scale of 1-10, how badly do you need coffee in the morning?
Definitely a “20”…I wouldn’t get up in the morning if I didn’t know coffee was on the horizon!

What’s your least favourite word, phrase or sentence?
“seeker sensitive” “chop-chop!” “the buck stops here!”

Hypothetically speaking (because Saskatoon is of course the finest city in the world), if you could live anywhere else, where would that be?
Summers are great in Saskatoon with gardening, thunderstorms, sunshine, green grass, lakes…Canmore for a few weeks of the year…love the mountains…Winters are great in Hawaii, New Zealand, or anywhere warm beside the ocean…

What’s your favourite holiday of the year?
Summer holidays…Christmas stresses me out with too many expectations!

What’s your favourite TV show?
CBC News…I am a news freak! CSI New York…when I watch TV

What’s your most embarrassing moment?
Too many to mention…I have a habit of “putting my foot in my mouth”…not a pretty sight!

What recharges your batteries?
A good book with a great cup of coffee! Challenging conversations with people, especially people who have a different perspective than mine! Hanging out with Jerry!

What’s your favourite part about the ministry/job you do?
Being able to help people see how God the Holy Spirit has been and is at work in their lives and encouraging people to continue pursuing God with every ounce of their being!

What’s the best movie you’ve seen in the last year?
“Departed”…not a pretty movie but has some amazing twists in it!

How would you describe the Edmonton Oilers? A great team, or the greatest team? Please explain.
Hockey is a sport??????? Yup, her passion for this team shines through that statment. Definitely greatest.

What’s the best book you’re read in the last year?
Reading is my passion…here are a few I have enjoyed: The World is Flat by Thomas Friedman; Living the Resurrection Life by Eugene Peterson; Emerging Churches by Gibbs and Bolger; Christ plays in Ten Thousand Places by Eugene Peterson; The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova; Leap of Faith by Queen Noor; The Mystery of Marriage by Mike Mason; Da Vince Code and Angels & Demons by Dan Brown; MacLean’s Magazine; Time Magazine; lots of news!

What’s your favorite food?
Potatoes!

How did you come to know Christ?
I have known Jesus all my life. My spiritual journey has been a continuous road of walking with Christ. I am excited as I continue to learn and stretch in every area of my life. Christ has begun a work in me and He will continue that work as long as I live.
