Board's Prayer
As a Board, we recognize that we can't do this job without Your prayerful support. We especially need wisdom and discernment and to clearly hear the Holy Spirit as God leads us in our decisions.
Thank You God that You have a plan and purpose for Lakeview Church to help build Your kingdom. Give us Your wisdom and guidance in everything that we do.
Thank You God for responding to our prayers and we trust that You are answering in the very best way possible for Your plan and purposes for Lakeview. Amen.

Jay Stark
Position: Chairman / Delegate Term Ends: October 2012
Jay was born on Easter Sunday in 1973. It took many years for him to understand the significance of that day. He was reborn, or felt he was given a second chance, in August of 2000 on the Churchill River, when he came close to drowning. Coming to the surface he remembers feeling a great sense of gratitude, but not sure to whom.
Then on Mar 5th, 2005, during an alpha class in a friend's basement, he gave his life to Christ. Once again he had a great sense of gratitude, but this time he knew who he was grateful too. At first he was grateful to all the people, who in many different ways helped him on his journey. The more he thought about it, the more he realized his gratitude was to God, Grateful that he put all of these people, Jesus included, and events into his life. It just took a long time for Jay to realize what he was up to.
The journey continues as Jay finds ways to use his gifts as he grows into a good and faithful servant. He first passed through the doors of Lakeview church in 2003 and became a member in 2009.He is the Chair of the board and his role is to ensure the integrity and realization of the Board's governance role and he is the authorized representative of the Governance Board to outside parties.
Jay is a Certified Financial Planner, and Partner with Sutton Financial Group. He shares his life with his wife Sheri, and together they enjoy being entertained by their two young daughters Alexandra and Sydney. He always enjoys spending time with family and friends, gets in as much camping as possible, and is still an unrestricted free agent playing with his recreation hockey team.
